Judge Melissa J. Bellan serves as the Presiding Judge of County Court at Law No. 2 in Dallas County, where she is committed to serving with integrity, independence, and fairness. She brings more than 18 years of combined judicial and legal experience to the bench. Before her election in 2018, Judge Bellan practiced civil, family, and probate law and later co-founded two law firms. She remains active in the Dallas legal community through organizations such as the Dallas Bar Association, Dallas Trial Lawyers Association, and Dallas Women Lawyers Association. Judge Bellan is a graduate of Sweet Briar College and SMU Dedman School of Law.
